Ok, dad wants an air gun for Christmas for taking out mostly rabbits in his small garden. The problem is I know nothing about the different brands and their reliability. Also, when I was a kid all we had were CO2 and pump....what are all these other kinds of air rifles out there? PCP, Nitro Piston, etc.
I need something he can easily charge/[censored]. I know the CO2 cartridges can get costly if you go through them petty quickly and I don't want something he is going to have to pump up 20 times to get max effectiveness.
What brands are you familiar with or would recommend for a 65 yr old man that is only getting older?
Thanks!!

Break barrel. 1000 fps with one pump. Gamo has many models. RWS is another good brand.

Dont know your Dad but a high power air rifle can be a pain to enjoy if you have to pump it every shot. I would think compressed air would work better. check out this link for a great selection http://www.compasseco.com/

A single stroke like the Gamo isn't a pain. I have a Benjamin I had as a kid and it IS a pain to pump 10-12 times per shot. I do not think you could go wrong with the Gamo

I picked up some of the CCI CB 22 Long today and going to give em a shot a little later and see what I think. (no pun intended) May be a cheaper alternative to buying a 200.00 air rifle if it works out.
