I had a chance to make a quick evening stand trying to help out a landowner having some trouble. He called and told me he had just recently lost his favorite cat to a coyote literally in his back yard and asked if I could come out and take care of his problem. After thinking it over for a few seconds I said yeah I said yeah I guess I could give it a go. His place is roughly 100 acres with only one good opening and it happens to be rite behind his house. Ten minutes later there were coyotes laying everywhere. One of which looked like he had swallowed a house cat whole. On the way back to get the truck to start rounding up fur, the landowner met me at the gate after hearing all the shots. He asked if I got the culprit and I told him I most likely got him and his family. Needless to say, he was happy to see them gone and felt like justice had been served. It doesn't always happen this way, but on the occasions it does, it still makes you feel pretty good about doing some good for a landowner.

very nice, wat caliber did you use? 22-250. Thanks for the comments guys. Its been a great year so far and the numbers are way up from the past few seasons. This really proves you can kill coyotes on small pieces of property on a consistent basis. You have to remember, no matter what the size of property you hunt, the landowner usually cares about his or her land the same as a big ranch if not more. Take care Chris

Thanks Bob, I think me and Jared are going to try to make it to the rendezvous this year as it should be a good time. We may have to bring the rig and sneak out and kill a few greys while we're down that way. Catch ya later. Chris
