Yes,I have experienced the same thing...It's like movement has just stopped.I haven't seen even one deer on the last 10 or so evening hunts.Gets to be like a job ALMOST,going out when you'd rather be cutting firewood, making a Toddy, working on the cabin etc. Recent rains have greened up our pastures. It will get better later on.
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.

Same here in Panola county.. North of Nacogdoches tx.. Saw all kinds of does and bucks about 3-4 weeks ago and now they are all gone.. I see them on the cam at night but nothing during the day.. Its the craziest thing.. Im going back out this weekend .. I hope this cold weather will get them out..

Funny...seems to be pretty typical in multiple areas across the state.

we have a few acorns but i dont think enough to cause them to disappear. on one camera we usually get 20 pics a day or more in between checking it which is usually every 12 to 14 days, so that is over 250 pics, from last thursday till yesterday only had 10 pics total!! i dont get it. hopefully it will change

Likely acorns and new forbs from the recent rains have them ignoring feeders.

Same in Clay County-- fed deer all summer long with pics on just about all cams up until the rains hit in late September- mid October. Now, everything is as green as Spring and very little response to feeders. Hunting in stands that overlook feeders is pointless. This year's hunt is basically in the books for me with only one doe taken. I'm full of theories on why, and full of other things as well... in the end, the only logical explanation is that they just don't have to go very far to satisfy their appetite. I'll keep my fingers crossed that next year will be better.
But shouldn't these animals feel a sense of responsibility to offer a shot to the people who kept them fed through the lean, hot Summer months??? Dang it!

I hunted 3 days over the weekend and never saw a deer in Palo Pinto County. I think they are in lockdown with the does and are not moving due to current rain and available natural food sources. They should be back on their feet very soon.

Same problem in the Hill Country...not many showing up in my horse trap by the Medina River, and my bud in Tarpley had about 18 coming to the feeder 2 wks ago...and said he's seen three deer all week...They should be in Rut..it's time and we've had some cold damp weather..DD

They should be back on their feet very soon. I hunt Palo pinto as well and haven't seen a deer in 2 weeks. Game cam activity slowed way down as well. I think they have found something to eat other than what we have been offering so I guess it's a waiting game.
