I have a bore snake for a .308 can I use that on my .270 or would it be too tight? My wife bought it for me and i don't want to take it out of the package if it is too big. I would like to just take it back and swap it for the right one if it won't work. Any thoughts?

It's gonna be a tight fit, if you break the cord off while trying to pull it through you're gonna have fun getting it out.
If you want to use a bore snake it would be best to use the right one.

I agree. Wal-Mart didn't have the right one so my wife got the next size up. I suppose it's back to Wal-Mart. Maybe a different store would have the right one.

I'd take it back and swap it for my money back. Use a bore snake on a gun for a while and then run traditional cleaning patches.
Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.
