I've notice this season that there has been a lot of Grey ducks,Divers,a few Pintails and a lot of Teal here in Texas. So I called a rancher that I know up in Oklahoma, told him that I needed to come see him and he said come on up.
Well when I was driving up I didn't notice alot of ducks here on the tanks and ponds BUT when I cross the state line every tank, every pond had Green heads on it and I mean alot of GREEN.
There was Traffic in the air with geese and fields with geese aswell.

So I guess they just dont want to fall south of the river just yet,but why would they with all that habitat and food they have .
KEEP HOPE ALIVE.

Totally agree with you GUY,I'm putting my land up for sale here in Texas and when it sells I'm buying in OK.

Wish my wife would let me put this house on the market too and just move the whole family there but she aint having that, guess I'll just settle with raw land in that state.

We are looking at exactly the same thing. Selling out when we retire and buying a very large place up there.

A 1/3 the price for the most part...but as far as ducks its all about being on a fly way just like here..you can have all the best habit in the world but if ducks don't migrate through there hunting is only going to be so so
