 hunting around comanche

o.k., i had this topic started but can't find now, so here i go again---anyone seeing any rutting going on near are around comanche. i was out last fri, sat, sun, seen about 8 does total and 2 -8 pt bucks, bucks necks looked a little swollen but absolutely no interest in the does, anyone have any better news

we have been seeing numbers the last two weekends and some of the younger bucks were chasing and I've seen a buck or two chasing a doe in the mid day but I really haven't seen that crazy over the top rut. I'd say we are in Rut but we are not in full blown rut. Not all if many are in heat

Were you at around comanche .. I hunted on Duncan creek on proctor lake and we lost it 2 years ago . I sure do miss that lease .. They should be rutting pretty hard about now

Usually first 2 weeks of gun season they are already on full rut .

My last deer in Comanche was a 163 class . Have a big game award with that one .

Was out last night (Sunday) and finally saw a couple of smaller 8 pts following deer. They really werent chashing though. Should be good by this weekend. Thats all I have seen, and i've been every weekend since the opening of bow season.

out by the hospital north of comanche. we haven't seen anything chasing, period. have some nice bucks on camera thru the middle of the week, no movement on the weekend- i think they know my schedule, i'll be back out this holiday, hope all the talk i've been hearing around comanche is right, everyone i talked to thinks this weekend will be it

Saw nothing but small bucks, but plenty of 'em, running yesterday evening in south Comanche Co.

Went hunting around Gustine last week. Saw ten does, a small six, small fork at the feeder in the evening. Next morning saw just a small spike at the the feeder and then saw one legal 8 with three does and a fork horn on the neigbor's wheat across the river while walking back to the house from the stand.

I hunt north of the Sabana on Hwy 16 and haven't seen any rut action yet.
