 Rut in Bastrop county and Burleson county???

I was just wanting to see if anyone was hunting in these counties and if the deer were rutting or do yall think that it will really kick up next week......I was down in bastrop last weekend and my dad shot a 8 pt and my nephew shot a spike niether one smelt bad so i dunno. any info would help!
