I was Hunting this morning and took about 15 minutes of Video of this buck. I had him on the shooter list but now he has broken up his left side. Do you take him anyway or leave him in the breeding pool. Let me know what you guys think. I also believe he will develop more of a kicker next year Before broken tines   After busted up

We have watched this deer for 3 years He always bust up his left side. We believe him to be about 4 years old

it depends why he was on your shooter list. If because you wanted to put on wall, leave. If because you want to not breed, take out.

Let him pass this year... and then shoot him early in bow season next year before he gets busted up again.

That deer is at least 4.5....no tellin what the weather will do next year and im sure hes put plenty of seed out there... he would be taking a dirt nap if walked infront of me...even on heavy managed ranch if hes over 4.5 and has a slick 8 on one side he would be a shooter IMO...but its all up to you bud hes a realy nice deer and wouldnt see no wrong in taking him

Nice buck hard call to make. I run into the same problem where
I hunt. If I don't take my buck early in the season the bigger deer always get busted up.

Wow. The two pics one from the front and the one from the side are way different looking. I know the same deer but from the front looks kinda srawny body wise. From the side looks like a moose.

I would leave him. Would look better with all his tines. I don't like taxidermy patchwork tines though.

Shame he is all broke.. I would try and let him make it another year.. Maybe something bigger will pop up(The fun of hunting). Be 5 next season.. sway backed and pot bellied.. Then get him early before he gets broke..
