When is the best time to pick up the rattlers. I have only tried this a few times and either I'm not very good at it or I'm doing it at the wrong time. Just havnt ever had much success with rattling. I've been told pre rut is the best time to start but If you have any advice or tips let me know.

I rattled in 4 bucks Sunday morning. I tried it again in the afternoon and got nothing. You have to catch them in the right mood and their moods are changing by the hour right now. If your timing is right you can bang darn near anything together and they will come running.

It is preponderant to prorogue verbalising and let the citizenry surmise that you are doltish, than to disseminate and expunge all skepticism

This is the perfect time to rattle in your area. Rut should be in high gear between now and thanksgiving.

Have been told its still kinda early to be aggresive on the rattlin.... to try a softer rattle and rake a small tree, its the less is more theory till the RUT get full blown.

Were all here, cuz were not all there !

The perfect to rattle is when you see brush or trees shredded to the ground and lots of fresh rubs. Also when you see the older bucks crusing looking for doe. Pre-rut and post-rut will be the best time cause when the bucks are with does you are not going to pull them off of the hot doe. I would still rattle at this time but success is not as high just on stragglers.

Best time to rattle is peak of rut, overcast days with little to no wind seem to be best. Good Luck to everyone!!
