I want either a night vision scope or some sort of hunting
light that will not spook the critters in pursuit.
I'm really leaning towards the night vision. Help me decide.

thanks

For the TDH (Texas Department of Health) I got pvs7b (third generation) night vision goggles, infrared spotlight, and laser sights which worked great on coyotes.

This was during the gray fox rabies outbreak. After they dropped the rabies baits, we (Animal Damage Control) would call gray fox (and other animals) to shoot so that we could get a blood and tooth sample to determine if the baits were eaten and if the rabies oral bait was effective.

Gray fox are so aggressive, you do not need night vision, but with coyotes, I feel it is the only way to go. The infrared spotlight will cause a eye reflection from at least 200 yards. With conventional spotlight and rifle, you will make 20 coyotes smart to each one you kill.

My brother put a XLR 250 GREEN KILL LIGHT on his AR10, it doesn't seem to spook the Hogs and looks like NIGHT VISION through you regular Scope for a FRACTION of the price. So if your like me and can't buy the NIGHT VISION SCOPES right now because of the price, you may check it out. I've getting one soon. Below is a LINK.

Thanks all. I am trying to do some research. Ya'll have
helped me narrow it down quite a bit. I can't wait to
get something along these lines. We are over-run with
hogs and coyote this year. It's time for some serious thinning.
I appreciate all of your input.

X-1 for the Pulsar 550. I have not hunted with it yet (new baby at home), but the tests I have done it is awesome. Plus the daytime use is a real plus compared to traditional night vision.
