I shot a nice boar this morning and after thinking about it most of the day I'm thinking I would like to euro him. The problem is he has been sitting all day and will sit all night. Will it matter if I let him sit out there and let the vultures and yotes clean him up a bit over the next few weeks then take him to a taxi or do I need to get the head off asap?
I've kept a few skulls that have been picked clean and weathered for a few months but they aren't as nice as a true euro would be and sometimes the skull get carried off and I don't find it. Thanks for any help.

If you want him you probably need to go get him, coyotes have lost many an animal part and your right a weathered head probably will not make as nice a mount.

Get him asap or the animals will drag it off. If weathered it will get brittle and flaky. You don't want that. Get you a 5 gallon bucket, fill with water and drop the head in it. Put the lid on. Let sit in a warm place for a month or so. Then go take it out and wash off. It will stink to high hell. Be warned. Soak in dawn/ hot water and change every other day til the solution stays clear for 3-4 days. Let dry really good then soak in perixide for 48 hrs. Should be good enough without paying a taxi to do it. Dont rush it. Hogs can take months to degrease properly.

Yup, the yotes will mess up the bones. I did a euro on a hog I killed. I skinned it and cut off most of the mest I could easily cut off, then I put it in a big stock pot and boiled it for a long time until the meat was falling off the bone. Then I picked the skull clean as best I could and used a bent wire to get out the brain and stuff. Then, I boiled it agin in water and peroxide. Did that twice. It turned out very nice. The teeth fall out and I super glued them back in. Looks very good.
