There is a small farm pond on the NE corner of that intersection that I drive by all the time. The last few years as I go get my son in Keller I always watch that pond. It is covered in ducks every year. It is right along the freeway so it is not legal to hunt and is prvate land, but if you ever drive by, check it out. Pretty decent for right in the city.

That pond has been covered in ducks as long as I can remember it being there. It's a sanctuary where they don't get blasted.

I have kept an eye on it all year every year and can tell when the migration starts or when the park ducks move away because it gets covered around this time every year.

i know the pond. I live in keller and see those ducks out there all the time too. I have noticed another not far from there on the other side of 35 off of a back road (cant remember the name). Same deal. There is a neighborhood close by and its loaded with ducks.

I am working out at Alliance right now and I eat lunch over there every day just so I can check that pond. It's been hit and miss recently, but when they're there, it's thick.

Hillwood property. Asked about hunting it years ago before Heritage Trace was even built. Lady at the farm house laughed and told me her husband worked for Hillwood and he wasn't even able to hunt there. There is another pond about 1/2 mile NE. Have a friend in real estate who hunted there years ago with the Hillwood brass long before the homes where built.
Glassed it a number of times. Lots of Coots out there most of the fall/winter so they're not all ducks.

would still be a cool place to hunt if you could though. Close to my house for sure.

Ya i supply hillwood and quicksilver all over alliance and i bring up hunting that tank at every other lunch and never fails to get a good laugh. Fun to lood at but doesnt hold a candle to the Meachem airport pond south of 820! Always nice to day dream about that tank!

Goodness, I passed by there at lunch today and I estimate ~250 ducks were on it.

There's a small pond off main street in Frisco that's always loaded with ducks too. Don't know why since no food but probably a safe heaven like said above. Nice to see all those ducks still. Ponds in my development is getting full too- my daughter and I look every morning on our way to work...yes lots of Coots too
