Can anyone recommend a taxidermist around Austin that does antler mounts. I shot a 16.5 inch spread 10 point in east Brazos County that includes a third unbranched antler. I'm giddy about it and want to show off the antlers in my house over my fireplace mantle. The boyfriend who doesn't hunt thought the idea of a shoulder mount was tacky so I'm going to still mount them anyway and just not say anything to him haha. I really wanted a shoulder mount though.

The processor weighed the quartered deer at 83 pounds when I took him yesterday.

A more graphic (bloody) picture on the head after we skinned him:

I have another that I took with my phone when i found him out in the woods but it's crummy, but shows the body sort of.

Sorry I'm not good at posting pictures so I hope the links work.

I was pissed because when I went out to my stand on Saturday he was at my feeder around 3pm and ran away. I saw him another time through my binoculars across in our neighbors pasture a couple of hours later. He showed back up right before it was about to get too dark to shoot. I didn't know he had the third antler until I found him out in the woods.

Congrats Aggal. I haven't used any of the taxidermist, just use the do it yourself kits so can't offer any suggestions there.

I don't even know if they would have to do anything special because of that third antler..

Thanks!
