Heard atleast 10 gunshots in the area and I don't have a single deer showing up. Sad.

Spoak too soon, just had two more shots fired to the north and one to the east of us

I was in mine at 0600. Just got out. Saw a decent, young 8 and a spike. No does. Kinda weird. I've been covered in deer all year at this stand. Not today though. They must have gotten the message.
Beautiful morning though. 40 deg and calm. Perfectly clear. Saw a couple of meteors.

Quietest opening morning I can remember. Not one shot heard here in Jack county outside Bryson. I did see one legal buck but he left the feeder at 7:30 before legal shooting time. Maybe he will be back tomorrow. Good luck all. Still can't believe I didn't here any shots at all. Earl
