Not that I live out there anymore but how are the lake levels? Back in the day things were always good along with the tanks north of 380.....

Is the hunting still decent these days.....

Totally suck water level is a major factor. Big waste of time unless you like doing death walks through mud which is everywhere.

Lewisville will be a slams dunk in the morning a lot of local birds to be shot. Grapevine will be average low water will make it a tough hunt.

Those were always the funnest.....mud walk of death with a dozen dekes and my gun.....

Life was good because no one wanted to make the death march with me except for 2 guys.....

Never had a problem with walking in....people were nice and we had fun together...

Same here just 1 large group sitting on the main X for that side, we went across the lake and found a good hole, I'm calling it south side X!

Grapevine and low water conditions is what I used to live for...however the ducks can get blown out of there in NO TIME with the lack of hunting area and the hoards of hunters.

I live 200 yds from those north tanks and I haven't heard anything this morning. The part where the lake angles east is right behind my house
Usually hear the boom sticks but not today. Hell you could probably drive down there now and hunt from the truck. I drove under the 380 bridge and fished off the tailgate last week.

Lots of boats this morning on grapevine. Saw a lot of lights super early.

If anyone killed any ducks on grapevine this morning they got lucky. Not hardly any even flying. I won't be wasting my time again out there until after the split if even then.

Hahaha i stand corrected. I went down fish trap to just see what was up and I spotted a jeep sitting on the pumpkins down where the lake used to be by the turn east north of 380. That poor bastard is probably still there. He was WAY down there in the mud.
