Went out yesterday to check camera and to see if everything was ok for opening day. After reviewing the camera pics I saw several nights in a row people walking around my blind after dark with dogs and guns. Last picture of them was on Tues 1st and I haven't had a deer pic since. VERY frustrating! I emailed the lease owner the pics and he doesn't recognize anyone. I went from getting over 300 pics a week of ALOT of deer to 0. Luckily I keep my blind, feeder and camera padlocked. This is a private lease and have 5 of us on it. Why does this happen right before opening day???? Anyone else had this problem?

That sucks! I once had a lease member walk the creek line that we all hunted on to "scout" our lease right before season. We had pigs and several nice deer coming in to several feeders. After he walked the creek, they were all gone. I was pissed!

That sucks. Since the Land Owner doesn't reconize them I would get them to the GW.

This might be a longshot, but keep the pictures handy and when you are hunting listen for dogs barking off in the neighboring countryside, and then take your pictures and start to investigate, and find out who those people are and where they live that have the dogs barking.
You can use the pictures to ask questions if anyone recognizes them if you don't.
I'm thinking it's some locals or someone with a lease near yours and running their dogs, which seems some people have little regard for fences and property lines.

Ya that screwed up. I have had similar issues Someone was checking my game cam an deleting them.I checked. It once an noticed the card wasn't put in correctly. It had a picture of soeone pulling card and only had top of hat an forehead. Im hispanic an tan. This guy made casper look dark.I soon locked it up an then they would pull my reserve battery pack off. For some reason they stopped comming around. I think cause we come out to lease more often? My blinds are locked up to. Tree stands uncomfortable to hunt out.

ya we have combination lock on our gate but i think its time to freshen it up with a new one. i had two teenagers drive through while i was in my bow stand hunting. park jump fence to nighbors an fish in pond. that was completely restricted. then finish thier fishing five minutes before my feeder goes off. needless to say i took a day off work to get a extra day to hunt to only get screwed. this is my first year to hunt on my own with a lease. buying everything this year.rifle stand. two bow tree stands. two tripods, two corn feeders. protien feeder, plus the cost of refilling every month. got lots of moneys going for the cause. not to mention the cost of gas.
id like to hire a homeless man to live at the gate. protect the investment. lmao maybe he could count the hogs name them then teach the deer to become hand feed. an train the coyotes to howl songs

I would hope a girl comes up and drops her drawers by my stand when I'm there too.

Well I'm the only one who can say that I have pictures of deer, hogs, turkey and 2 blondes at the feeder! Yes they were 2 blondes! I do agree with it's probably the landowners relatives. We all went out last night and sat until about 11 and didn't catch anyone. The deer are back in so they didn't run everything off.

We have brand new combo locks so I feel its an insider letting them in. This is the 1st year on this lease. We'll see how it goes this year.

Somewhere I have game camera pics of 2 guys disconnecting the feeder battery the night before the season opener 2 years ago. That camera was stolen last year. This year, someone cut the wires on the solar panel that was hooked up to the feeder.
It was cut so close to the soldering point I couldn't splice it. Also because of where it was cut, I didn't realize it until I saw the decrease in game at the feeder. Checked everything and that's when I found the dead battery and cut wires.
I would soooo much like to catch whoever is doing that.

Caught! I have had the people at my feeder with they're dogs the last 4 nights in a row and have plenty of pictures to prove it. Called GW and he said he would watch the area. We finally got in contact with the ranch Forman and showed him the pics, he recognized the people! It was the kid he hired to feed cattle on other ranches. There are no cattle here and he said he thought he had full access for hog hunting. He thought he wasn't doing anything wrong by it and also thought he was doing us a favor by killing our hogs! What a dope. It's deer season in Texas and he was all over our place. My deer count has dropped to just a couple the past few weeks. Maybe it will get back to normal in a few weeks.

He IS doing you a favor by killing the hogs. They're worse than rattlesnakes, worse than ticks. No excuse for trespassing, however....
