Last night was awesome! We hunt some extremely high pressured areas, but last night we had their number!!! I actually ran the camera for the first time since Chris and I started filming. It was just before dawn on the last stand of the night, and we were fortunate enough to have a bobcat respond within two minutes and Chris dropped him like a bad habit. About 2 minutes later after changing sounds we had a coyote come barreling in on us, which actually slipped on the morning dew when I barked to stop him!
This hunt is not one that I will soon forget! We got some incredible footage and for the first time ever I was able to contribute in the form of getting behind the camera! I hope Chris doesn't get to accustomed to me running the camera, I like shooting them too much!
I believe this could be an awesome season for fur guys! Four hunts in and we have 22 solid kills on film!
take care, Jared

djones you are absolutely right! When predators are responding to a call there is place I would rather be than in that rig with Chris getting footage for Carnivore! 13 animals in 8 hours of calling is a rarity around our parts, and we didn't travel more than 30 minutes from the house which makes it even better!

Awesome job guys!! Looks like y'all have got it going on! Looks like those N TX predators need to think twice before trying to get a quick meal!
The devil made me do it the first time, the second time I did it on my own

That is one big bunch of yotes all in one night. Must have been a real blast and getting a bobcat to boot. Congrats on your hunt.

We mainly use the Burnham Brothers Compucaller III, On this particular night the coyotes were responding to the coyote pup in distress sound. The cat and in yote responded to cottontail sounds, but the other 11 coyotes were coming to investigate the wounded pup!On this particular night we had them figured out, and we only had two blank stands!

We hunt small pieces of property in North Texas mostly, but when we are on a big ranch we will scout it during the day first and we may only move a 1/4 mile between stands. We don't prefer to do this, but if the spots look good enough we will run the sound on the first stand really soft so we dont pull animals away from the next stand. This is actually most effective with bobcats in my own experience. BUT we try to move around 1 mile on average. It all depends!
