My husband just went to check the game camera at the deer lease. We were planning to go deer hunting next weekend. Our feeder, game camera & hog trap are all destroyed. Says it looks like someone just tore everything down & ran over it. Sorry people. Probably do-gooders at PK lake that like to feed the deer from their porch. Save Bambi...

Sorry to here that. I do not understand the motivation of some people nowadays. Seems a lot off this type of thing going on, and especially with all the modern equipment and such. Hope you catch them.

hopefully you'll be able to recover some photos of the from the camera. if you do, please prosecute the HELL out of them.

Weekend skeet shooting! Let 'em listen to blasting all day. Set up as close to their house as possible. I had a neighbor complain about me shooting on my place. I grew up on that farm...he moved nearby a year ago. He asked if I could move where I shoot, so I did. 200 yards closer to his house!!!!

That sucks, had 3 cameras and 2 hog lights stolen a few years ago and one camera stolen on my place in Mississippi last year.

We were just talking about this a few days ago and I was saying how after I called the Game warden a couple years ago and asked him to talk to my friends neighbor about destroying feeders,(we lost three)the vandalism stopped.Went over on Friday to check things out and the little bastage is up to his old tricks,varmint guard had been removed,raccoons spun out all the corn,housing was on the ground.Needless to say I am pizzed.I am ready to prosecute,I am setting up a dummy camera with real cam hidden in brush.The kid is 17 YO,and needs to be taught an expensive lesson.

People are selfish these days. It's all about them and if something affects them (in their mind) then they are justified in whatever they do. Sad times when this kind of stuff happens. I hope you recovered the photo card. Would be nice to have a clear pic of the idiot(s). Best revenge would be making them reimburse you $ for the damages.

Sorry to here about that you were hit with vandals. You should get some lower priced game cams and spread them out in strategic locations and catch the SOB's.

It'll cost you more money,but I agree with the others that you should place more cameras out to catch them. Then make them pay with money or jail time.

I have an extra feeder you can use if that will help at all. Just add corn and you are good to go. May even have an extra blind. PM me if you need it, can bring it to you by weekend. GUTIT

They ran over a hog trap?

I went out there today to check it out myself. It looks like they rammed the hog trap & it's a big one, too. It is all warped. We were able to piece the feeder back together, just get a new timer, etc. There's nothing on the game camera, looks like they destroyed that first. No proof on the memory card. Hubby spoke to the Palo Pinto Sheriff's office & our lease manager. Sheriff said it's hard to prove anything. Lease manager & others on lease are going to keep a look out.

Does anyone know the deadly force consequences if you catch a person doing these things on your leased property?

I know that Texas law allows for the use of deadly force to protect yourself and your family, your home and your property; if its on a lease, though, it becomes an iffy question. A lawyer would argue that it would be up to the actual property owner, not the lessee, to secure the objects left on his property. Matters of liability, etc., etc. Besides, you'd have to be right there to catch them in the act. Trust me, they probably know that property as well, if not better, than anyone leasing it. It truly sucks what they've done to you.
