Hey fellas. I am seeing some good deer on my place. However, I am now in sensory overload from thousands of game cam pics. So, I can't decide if any of these are shooters are not. I know some are definitely not shooters (Lil 10, Too Tall). However, I am on the fence about Shorty 11 and Big 10. I am also tempted to leave all good bucks alone this year because of the harsh summer. Note: we did not begin feeding until August of this year because we just bought the place. Until then, there was no food for these deer.

Thanks for your opinions here.

Lil 10 - how old is he? I guessed 2.5 or 3.5

Too Tall - you'll have to zoom in. 3.5 is my guess

Big 10 - These are the only 2 photos I have of him. Looks like an older deer, possibly 5.5 shooter.

Shorty 11 - Maybe another shooter. I'm thrown off because he has such short G2s. Makes me think he has potential and to let him walk. However, he has a short snout and could be a shooter. 5.5 maybe?

Sounds like you are on track with your aging (at least I would guess about the same). I think I would call the first one 3.5, but it is hard to tell with those pictures.

It gets grainy when I try to zoom, but looks like a mature deer in the background of the first pic too. I am assuming it is the deer under the feeder in the second one?

Good looking deer and congrats on the new place.

Where at in Archer County? PM if you want. I must be your neighbor cause I am almost positive I have Shorty on camera. Funny thing is we have him named Shorty as well.

Nice looking bucks. They fall into the 3.5-5.5 yr old ages from these pics.
