Usually hogs stick close to water sources. Throw a bag of corn out and put a game camera over it

4" or larger PVC pipe, threaded caps on the ends with an eye bolt on one end. Using the eye bolt, secure pipe to tree/ T post with rope, chain, etc. Drill holes large enough to allow corn to fall through. Fill tube with corn and those suckers will spend hours trying to empty. Through a few rocks larger than the holes to keep them at it.

IDE use a chain or steel cable. I've seen them get through the rope before

It's pretty to easy to tell if you have hogs or not. Hogs root and it' easy to see the spots they rooted out. They leave trails and they leave scant. You could have an occasional hog cross by and not leave a mark, but if without a food souce or water why would they be on your land? They might cross it going from a bedding area to a feed or water hole, but you could see the trails.
