I think that there are some PETA-loving, far-left liberals on this forum who pass themselves off as being Texas hunters just so that they can spread their drivel. Keep that in mind when you read their posts.

+1. Told them to keep my keep my free publication and save a little money on my membership. They are basically just ad's anyway. Also requested to to not be contacted by phone or mail for additional monies. Works like a charm, they never contact me. The excuse of being hounded just doesn't water. They won't if you request it. If you are too lazy to do that I hope Obama get's your gun collection. He want's it.

I am not a member today because they failed to honor my request to stop contacting me for additional monies.

Seriously, they spent way more on mailings my last year of membership then the dues I paid. And I told them so in the communication I sent them. I don't care how fervant your NRA beliefs are, you cannot deny they are the worst solicitors in your mailbox and telephone.

I left the NRA behind and got involved in local politics. I begrudge no one their NRA membership. But I can't reconcile what they say they are nationally with what they tell me individually; MORE MORE MORE MONEY.

MHO only, YMMV.

Proud member. If I had a nickel for every conversation the sticker on the back glass of my truck has started...

Been a member since I was 16. Should get my life membership in the spring. I do get mail from them once every month or two, which I don't mind, but they have honored my request for no phone calls.

Nope. Reason was due to a letter I recieved that stated "because of people like you" American will lose all 2nd admendments right. They were trying to guilt me into paying my annual dues. My membership was current and had been paid 2 months earlier. I called to ask if there was a mistake (my payment had cleared) and the woman on the phone basicly called me a free loading bum because I was questioning the billing and then told me if it was such a finacial burden they (NRA) did not need me.

I get sick of the whiners that the NRA sends them too much mail.

It really is lame excuse.

They rarely send me any junk mail - less than 6 times a year. I consider that much less than other organizations of which I'm a member.

Gimme a break people. You keep making excuses because you're too cheap to write a check or give them your credit card number.

LOL! I don't NEED to make an excuse not to be a member of the NRA. I joined and made my wife join as well and got sick and tired of them calling me 3 times a day wanting more money. I told them if they called me one more time wanting more money I would cancel my membership and they called again about 2 hours later. When you send them $25.00 per year and get at least that much or more in postage paid stuff asking for more money it makes you wonder why you bothered in the first place.

i have NEVER gotten a phone call from them, and get very little "junk mail" from them...been a member for a few years now and will always be one. Shocked at how many are not, and to them i say your welcome for the right to keep your guns!
I get way more junk mail from CC companies than i do the NRA, and i just do like i do the rest of my junk mail, don't open and throw it away, its pretty simple.
