I have checked with both TPWD biologist and the local game warden and it is okay. Huh? From what is in regulation and within the MLD program, the MLD permits that are issued are the only deer that may be taken off the property they were issued for. Directly from the Managed Lands Deer Permit Section on TPWD website along with the information mailed out to all those cooperating in the MLD program. MANAGED LANDS DEER PERMITS WHITE-TAILED DEER PROGRAM INFORMATION 2011-2012 General Information Permits are valid only for the specific property for which they were issued. Once permits are issued, all deer harvested (with the exception of buck deer on Level 1 properties) on that property must be tagged with the appropriate MLDP. Completion of the hunting license log and use of a hunting license tag are not required for deer harvested under the authority of an MLDP. An approved WMP will include an annually updated harvest recommendation for does and/or bucks, dependent upon the level of participation. The annual harvest recommendation will determine the number of permits to be issued and will establish the maximum harvest for the property. If permits are issued after the beginning of deer season, all deer harvested prior to permit issuance, regardless of permit level, must be counted toward the maximum quota. Subsequent survey data may indicate a need to amend the harvest recommendation, which could result in a supplemental issuance of MLDPs. Got to get this one over to HQ Law Enforcement to make sure who is correct on this issue.

Yes that is correct. All of the doe hunts I do, are not on land in the MLD program(MLD permits can't be used on) I have talked with a couple of the guys that have booked hunts with me and they dont mind using thier own tags(on land not in the MLD program.) We have our last meeting Sat. Oct. 22, this is when they will issue the MLD permits and give us the rest of the info about it. Sorry for the confusion kyotee1.

Alright guys, I went to our Wildlife Management meeting Saturday to pick up the MLD permits. I was issued 90 for my own land. Another one of landowners that we will be hunting was issued 60. Two of the other landowners are not in the program. We will be hunting on about 4200 acres and have a few other landowners that are interested also. Sorry I didnt have all this information earlier. If anyone has any questions please let me know. Thanks.

Do you still have January 2nd open?
If it looks good, eat it.
Rocks are cool, also kittens.
