Haven't had a lick of trouble with All-Seasons, but they are a little more expensive than the Remingtons, Moultrie's, etc.

I second Southtexas 36, only All-Seasons for me. A little more than the average feeder but you have to look at the quality and what you get for the price.

hbhuntingproducts.com they have a 400 lb,650 lb and a 1000 lb corn feeder and you can put any spinner you want on them or buy one there spinners. it will be the last feeder you ever have to buy. exstremely well built feeder, and they are in Argyle but they have dealers all over the state also.

I build my own feeders using 55 gal barrell, Moultrie Pro Hunter feeder w/varmit guard, 6v solar charger, Moultrie leg mounts, wildgame cap and legs are 2" 8'steel conduit pipes. Only problem I've had is coons biting the solar charger line into. Solved that by using flex tubing between the feeder motor and solar charger.

Solar powered Spin Cast is good and only needs batteries about every three years. Also reasonably priced and easy to maintain.

Specialty is a rather high priced unit, but I have got one and have used it with minimal effort for 30+ years. Also solar powered.

All Seasons and Hill Country Ranch (HCR) with solar panels have worked very well for me for years.

I am going to comment but I am going to focus on timers. First let me say this I was born and raised in Texas and for those of you who wern't, sorry. If you can find a product made locally for the same or close to the same price buy it locally. Reminton did not get to be Reminton by making feeders and I'm not sure I would brag about anything comming from Walmart. When it come to timers I believe there are some key items to look for: large motor (1/4" shaft), metal box not plastic, and of course digital timer. I like those such as "The Timer" or HCR. This is not to say that others are not good I used to use the Magnum brand and timer, they were good and magnium stood behind their product, over the years I do not think they stand up as well, and I have raised my standards. Concerning feeders I believe once again ruggedness is "GOODER". This equipment is expected to stay outside it the weather all year long fending off squirrels, coons cows, deer and now hogs. Let me say right now as many of you know I build feeders. However while I do think mine are the best there are many good ones out there. Just make sure that what ever you buy can and will stand up to what you are asking it to do. Some simple guidelines are square tubing is stronger than pipe, pipe is stronger than conduit & while "T" post may help to keep a feeder from being turned over, corn will still come out when they are bumped. Get the best unit that fits your budget, not everyone can afford or needs the cheepest or most exspensive unit. Keep this much in mind, the old adage than you can spend a dollar to save a dime is still very true. Hope everyone has a good seson.
