Got the AAC 762SD suppressor in finally after ordering it back in Feb. Was only able to fire one round down the .308 before it started raining this morning. I did however did get to test it on the 10/22 yesterday evening. The vids are of my buddy and his dad that was down doing some fishing at the cabins we have on the Brazos. These things are soooo cool!! I'm already eyeing an SBR upper and another can.

Welcome to the club and the addiction! If you need some sub-sonic ammo in bulk, give me a hollar!

Any concerns shooting it with the .22? I had some so I opted to buy a dedicated, serviceable .22 can....
I was told by Gemtech that all I had to do was fire a mag of .556 through the supressor after my .22 session and the heat from the .556 would "clean" the can.

Hey Chopped! I actually emailed AAC asking about just that a couple months ago. They replied that it should be perfectly fine to run .22ammo through it and that the can doesn't need cleaning until around 5000 rnds have been reached. They also said a lot of folks don't even clean their AAC cans. However, I talked to a class III dealer and he showed me the buildup of what .22 ammo can do to a can. His recommendation was completely opposite of what AAC said. He he pulled apart the SWC Spectre .22/22mag/5.7 can he has and showed me the internals. There was quite a build up. He had about 400 rnds through the can at the time and he said the buildup is extremely hard to get off.
I only put around 50 rnds of 22lr subsonic through the can this past weekend and shot 1 rnd of .308 out of it, just because I wanted to hear the difference in it. I would have shot quite a bit more, but it was starting to rain. I personally don't think it is going to hurt the can one bit, but I've already been looking at my next can (5.56). So I don't think it is going to matter in the long run. I will eventually get a dedicated 22 can.

Do you have any video of the .308, I need a real world sound reference.
