Duck season is fast approaching and I want to be more prepared this year. Last year I started hunting in the middle of the season when my friend invited me with him. A few weeks before the end of the season I bought my first shotgun, a Remington 870 Supermag, but never got a chance to use it in the field. I've practiced shooting clays a lot in the off season so I could get more comfortable with the gun.
Now I want to try out different shells and find out what patterns best with my gun. I usually go to the Garland Public Shooting Range but they don't have a patterning board. Do any of ya'll know of a range in the DFW area that has a patterning board that I can use?

Alpine gun range has them on their 50 yard range.

I have never seen one out there. I wonder if they would let you use the rifle range? The 30 yd range seems like it would be perfect setup for patterning it would take awhile if others are shooting at the same time.

Ya know - I was just trying to be helpful. We have one at the club and I WAS going to offer to take you in and let you bang away if near me. Maybe shoot some clays while there. But noooo...
