Last year I had a camera stolen on my lease. I mentioned it to the land owner and he urged me to call the GW. I really didnt expect much but since he wanted me to call I did. Well next day two GW's showed up and followed me to the back part of the lease where the camera was and conducted an investigation.

Always mark your items in a way that you can identify them and the GW's can to. My camera was marked in a way that if the GW ever ran across that model of camera he can glance at it and know if it was mine or not. I never heard back from them after they did the investigation (and I never really expected to) but they do take things like that pretty seriously.

yeah, it was a pop up. I talked to the GW, and they said they would keep their eyes open. I doubt they will ever find it. But that is a chance with public land.

Was it anchored good? It could have blown off.

That's happened to me before and the feeling is sickening. I haven't been able to get up to my place in quite some time due to several issues. Sad that before I even saw this thread I was sitting around wondering how much of my stuff had been stolen or vandalized.

This is what I always say. If you will lie to me, you will steal from me. Cant stand either. Sorry about your blind. I have it happen to me more than once. It takes a big set of marbles to come on someone's property and haul off a tower blind.

Not a tower blind on private land, a pop up on public land.

Possibility it blew away with a good strong gust of wind.

I had one get blown about six hundred yards completely across a road onto another guys pasture.

I got it back at the end of the season when a guy reported finding it up in an oaktree while riding his tractor after the season.

My boss had his pop up stolen of our private land in Lockhart. Left 3 other stands and feeders. Guess the took it cause it was easy to carry off.

That sucks. I can't believe someone would actually do that.

That's just a draw back to public land. I also hunt public land and have ran into a couple of DB's running around taking GPS coordinates of stand locations and sending it to the park authorities. I can only assume that is what happened to my ladder stand. That or one of his buddies got that info. Most places will let you leave it up over the weekend, but my philosophy to public hunting is to walk in farther than anyone else in their right mind would. That being said, I like to carry it in that far only one time -- don't judge me harshly.

I had a ladder stand stolen from Davy Crockett National Forest one time. I carried it in and set it up one evening and it was gone the next morning. Someone must have seen me set it up. I had it chained and locked to the tree and they shot the lock off. I hate Thieves!

Sorry to hear that. They stole some of my feeders this summer too. They also nocked down some of the deer stands. They didn't take them they just tore them up.

Haven't had anything stole, but some a..holes shot holes in our feeders and motors on a PRIVATE lease. They shot from the neighboring PRIVATE lease.

Only a real a..hole would do that.

dam that sucks, couple weeks ago someone cut my gate lock and then cut my lock on my 2006 legend 40 ft gooseneck trailer. I use it 4 work every day and didnt have theft insurance on it, new one just like it set me back almost 14k and then all the lost revenue, if only i could of caught them, it would of been bad 4 them! On a good note my new ranch king should be finished this week!

If they shot it from the fence line maybe it was because you were hunting too close to the fence? Just saying... When I leased in south Texas we weren't allowed to hunt within 300 yards of a perimeter fence. It would get you kicked off the lease.

Kinda do have to wonder how close you were to the fence, but still a BS thing for someone to shoot up someone else's equipment. If there was a problem, they should have contacted you and settled it that way. I have a neighbor that has a feeder than literally throws corn over my fence, but it is hanging between two hog traps so I don't mind to much as long as I don't ever see that he shoots at a deer under it.
