I have a group of 6-7 hunters looking for a year-round lease for the '08 season and hopefully for the long term. We leased the same property in Santo (Palo Pinto Co.) for over 20 years. We had built our own cabin as well as a lot of fond memories over the years. Long story short, the land was sold and the new owners are tree-huggers. No more hunting. We have bounced around for the last few years but have yet to find a good "home". We are a responsible and ethical group. We followed a self-imposed management plan (No less than 8pts, Not less than ears width) and saw great success in increasing numbers and the quality of deer on the lease over the years. We follow strict self-imposed rules in the field and in camp regarding safety and a communication log which documents each hunters' whereabouts on any given day. We have replaced members over the years who have not followed guidelines because these are things we take very seriously. We are willing to pay up to $1000 a gun and possibly more depending on the land / accommodations. I know that I'm throwing my name in a large pool of hunters who are also looking for a lease, but any help would be very appreciated.

Nevermind...I saw your other post. $3500 is way out of our budget. Good luck finding someone to pay that.
