I had does and a few young bucks hitting my feeder (behind my house about 500 yards) on a regular basis. however about a 2 week ago i noticed yotes on a all new level. It sounds like at least 5 plus pups EVERYNIGHT. About once a month i use to go to the blind and call for yotes and kill one. however i have not done this for about two months, and it sounds like a big group has moved in. i get a couple of blurry pics on my deer camera every night. since they have been hanging around i have seen ZERO deer and have ZERO pics. Im going to ground check as many as i can tomorrow night BUT my question is...... is it possible that this pack of very active and loud yotes are keeping the deer away????

it might just be the deer moving they should be back, but i would try and get rid of the yotes an way possible. less yotes means a safer place for your deer to feed and rest.

I had one stand last year that had several packs of yotes living around it. It was really thick in there.
The interesting thing is that feeder always had bucks around it and not many does and fawns. I read an article that yotes are responsible for 50-60% of our fawn deaths.
I like to kill coyotes whenever I can. The less the better!!!
You are the man if you can kill one with your bow. That is not easy!!!

I called coyotes from my stand before and I thought it was a double-edged sword. On one point you want to rid your property of coyotes but on the same level, you don't want the coyotes being comfortable at your feeder pen. I think the deer will return but they might be wary of the coyotes. The call Is yours......

You prolly have several coyotes, but one coyote can sound like several the way they yip and yap, I've had several as pets over the years, mine would go out to th back and howl, yip, yap, whine, etc and sound like a whole pack.

I've had several as pets over the years, What? This is one of those things that my first thought is "that is dangerous, possibly illegal, stupid, etc." then my very next thought is "Cool". I would have liked to have seen that. Kind of like the other day when I got to get up close and personal with a brood of baby rattlers at a pet store. It was fascinating.
