These pics are in Wisconsin. We've seen a lot bear over the summer, but once the hunting season starts we generally don't see, but we've had so much activity that the land owner has made it mandatory to carry a side arm when away from the cabin. However we've never seen any close to the area my tree stand is in, until this weekend. This is about 22m from my tree stand and hes headed right for it as he moves up the hill. I haven't seen any shooters yet but I got plenty of: And from my ground blind plenty of:

No chance of a bear in my area, but I love seeing any game animal moving through while sittin on the stand. Sure makes the time more enjoyable while waiting for a shooter. Looks like that bear was gonna nibble that corn. Bears eat corn? He sure had his nose in it.

A hunt based on only trophies being taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be,time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there. -Fred Bear

Just so you can understand where the turkey and bear were in relation to stand here is the view of that bait from my stand. I know he doesn't have a large rack and I won't be up here to see him grow but this is my most friendly young buck. I've got pics of him in velvet and he stops by the bait at least twice a day. Him in velvet, you can see the ladder to my stand behind him, he's about 8m from me walking off an alfalfa field towards the spring. And a view of that very alfalfa field 3 weeks ago, full of turkeys:

JJ They eat pretty much anything. They coons but bigger. I might have bought him him by sprinkling some of Primos Swamp Donkey powder attractant. It had a pretty strong sweet smell, but this is not an area we normal see them so I was never overly concerned. Till now that is.

Did anyone notice in the 4th pic the buck on the far right in the trees????? I'll have to blow it up on the big screen when I get home. I counted 6 does/fawns. Seeing between 15-20 does/fawns/nubby bucks per 3-4 hour sitting. It may not sound like much but last year I saw 5 does/fawns all season, so these pics have us pretty excited about the rut. We're thinking maybe the wolves have started to push more deer our way from the north eastern part of the state.
