That's great...good to see. I am hope to take one just like that this year. my only problem is the idiots on my lease don't understand the greatness in taking a huge cull like that and count it against our stupid one buck per person quota. Awesome that you got to take you lil one to help find him

Awesome that you got to take you lil one to help find him Good luck!!! I love taking culls, especially on years that the antlers aren't at their full potential. And having the little one "find" the deer was priceless. We have had the same issue on our lease. We are allowed one buck: eights over 120, nines over 125, and tens over 130. If your deer meets the minimum scores, you can shoot a second buck. The second buck has to be 140 or better. When we started trying to change the mindset, set the rules, etc. There was alot of confusion on how to deal with the culls. What if someone makes a mistake? What exactly is a management eight pointer, do spikes count, and the list goes on. Basically, the argument that finally won was based on the idea that 10 good culls in a year would make more of a difference than the 1 or 2 mistakes. Also, if everyone could only kill one deer, very few would take the culls that needed to go. The only way they would take one is if a cull presented a shot on the last weekend. Hope you get it worked out and good luck this season.

Great story, glad your daughter was able to experience that with you! I can remember running around when I was that age deer hunting. Memories I will never forget. Also great cull! Slick 6, got to go!

Hey txshntr how wide was he inside? Perfect time to put an ear tip to ear tip number for ear width. Finally got the horns back STX...he is almost exactly 15"

Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?
