Sat morn I climbed into tree xtra early, nocked my stick, hung bow and waited for a victim. At 7:04 a boar came in, not hearing any others I locked on my Thunderheaded Pork Missile and released. The Nocturnal lite up like the after burner of a F-14 on take off. Arrow seeks and hits solid on the mark, punctures both sides ( right lung and heart ). Pig bolts to my right into brush, carrying away my glowing nocked stick. Boar ran through some still burning ash and coals from fire last week,( bet he got the hot foot there ). He turns and drops at feeder fence about 10yds from where I shot him minus my arrow. He sprayed blood heavily the whole 20 yd run and never left feed pen. Sat nite my QAD fall away rest fail to raise to capture postion so I carried a rifle to same stand. About 15-18 piglets ran into pen followed by 7 bigger pigs, I dropped a sow hoping her piglets would stay with her, but they all bolted except the sow.
My wife must be a cross between a Indian and a bulldog. When she's not on the warpath, she's sitting on her butt growling.
We're burnin daylite.
