I would personally take a axis, they taste much better and I believe are more challenging than whitetail and make a very nice mount. Also I have taken some nice whitetail bucks but never a axis buck.

that sucks. sorry to hear that.
I would flip balls if my wife took my mounts or gun collection I did, but thank God my neighbor was there!!! The only 2 guns she didn't grab because they were in top of the closet was an old Win 12 gauge pump and a TC muzzleloader and I was loading the 12 gauge and putting it in the truck when he came out and grabbed me and said don't do anything stupid and made me go to his house and drink a few cold ones and cool off(never cooled off)!!! There aren't too many people in this world I wish harm to but I read the obituaries all the time hoping she is in them(JK)!!!!! I am just glad that chapter out of my book is way in the past!!

[/quote] I would vote for axis for amount and quality of meat,the w/t still good eating and nice mount!And the old bat hauling your toys and mounts...well living well is the best revenge! Better woman now and can get new/better toys and hunts in the future!

Whitetail but the Black Buck would be a close 2nd and do make a nice mount.
Your ex must have been really ticked at you to take all your mounts. That had to hurt.
