That's cool. How visible is the night vision to the deer? They obviously know you are there but dont seem too worried about it.

I still wouldn't post pics of your crosshairs on a deer out of season disclaimer or no disclaimer. Cool pics though and will be purchasing one soon. What make do you have?

I simply stated that I wouldn't post pictures of deer in my night vision scope.think you need to read a little better before you post. He absolutely did nothing wrong just posted an opinion. Here is a picture of my set up Like I said its gen3 pvs-14 on a Nikon 4.5x14x50 regular day scope. Its is mounted with a day scope adapter purchased through TNVC. It is on a DPMS LR308. I have ran well over 2,000 rounds through this setup with out one single flaw. We have successfully shot some targets at 300 yards in the dark with this setup. Djones- yes the first couple times I ever shot I did get a little feed back from it but if you stay about 2 finger widths off it never touches you. Its like second nature after a couple times and it does not effect your sight.

Well now that is just pretty dang cool. I've experimented with that type of arrangement but don't have the adapter. I never had any luck focusing my scope at higher magnification. Can you zoom all the way to 14 power?
It looks like a dedicated night gun. Surely you can't get your eye close enough to the scope's eyepiece for daytime use, can you?
Edit: After a closer look, I guess you can use the regular scope during the day; you just have to scoot farther back to use the NV, right?
How does the adapter work - screw on or quick release. It is specific to the eyepiece size or somewhat universal?

The pvs can be picked up any where for about 3k I believe. I know a guy who deals in them that can get them for 2,400.00.
Djones- The way I set it up was, I pushed my scope as far forward as possible and still be able to see out of in the daytime. The Burris P.E.P.R. mount also helps alot because of the forward position. The Nikon scope I chose has the yardaged adjustment on the side of the scope, it allows me to zoom all the way in and still be able to adjust for the blur. I have da torch IR and it also helps with lighting up animals at a long distance while zoomed in. The adapter comes with many different insert that pop in place for different scope sizes. It tightens to your scope with a adjustment screw that draws the pieces together. It attaches to the pvs on the mounting hole that is standard on all pvs. Takes less than a minute to install.
