Probably be a last minute decison for me as well. Just depends on which stand I hunt. I have it narrowed down to the Sendero SF 300RUM or Ruger M77 stainless 280 though.

But then again it is early season and won't be to much moving so I might just take my Remington 700 BDL SPS .223.

depends on how I feel and the weather. Probally either the 6.5-284 or the 357mag Marlin. But that is subject to change

I think you should just take all 3. The more fire power the better! I do usually carry 2 to the stand plus cameras and lenses

Early season I'll probably have the new to me open sight 30-30. Gonna try and get a doe with it this year. I have limited myself to hunting on the ground and the deer has to be under 50 yards. Makes me feel like a cowboy.

Makes me feel like a cowboy. Practie practice practice!!!! First time I ever hunted with an open sight lever gun it was a Winchester 94 444 Marlin. I felt pretty good out to 50 yards with it so when a big fat doe showed up about 50 yards out I cranked off a round. That round dang near took her rear leg off as she spun around fell to the ground then got up and hobbled off. Second shot was rushed and found its mark perfectly despite the deer doing its best to escape on 3 legs.

Interarms Whitworth in .375 H&H Mag. I think a 300 gr Nosler Partition should do the job.......on a 10' Alaska Peninsula brown bear.
