Terror struck a rural community when reports of mutilated livestock started pouring in. All indications pointed to a "West Texas" grizzly due to the gruesomeness of the killings. It looked as if he was doing it for fun. Horses and cattle were shredded to pieces. Town folks feared they would be next. Federal, state and local authorities coordinated their efforts to no avail. Helicopters, hunters, trappers and dogs were ineffective. There was only one hope; enter djones.

Upon arrival I inspected the most recent kill sites and estimated the time and location of his next attack. He showed up in a stubble field as expected, and I was VERY tempted to give chase, pull up alongside and shotgun him. However, that usually works better when one person is driving and another is shot gunning. I’m sure I could have pulled it off, but there’s always that chance when you’re looking out the window while driving at high speed that you might go airborne over a terrace or tear the front end out in a pivot rut or get tangled up in a fence.

I went for the sure thing and stalked in to snipe him with the rifle. The first shot was on the money, but he was tough. I hit him 5 more times on the run before he slowed to a standstill and took the finishing shot.

Once the community was safe, I relaxed and took in some pleasure hunting, taking out 7 of his relatives. I was dragging them out when I pulled up to a spotted one that was hiding is a row. He jumped up growling and popping his teeth. What a perfect application for the shotgun. I thought the video would be more thrilling and possibly capture me stopping a charge with a load of buckshot to the face, but it was just an uneventful finishing shot. I’ll submit the video anyway.

lmao, I do the same thing. I can see djones, in his late 80's on a front porch drinking moon shine, suffering from post tramatic stress disorder from all the years of blood shed.

Did I mention I had a hoist and scales with me? I had to park over a bar ditch to get enough clearance for his head to get off the ground. He weighed in right at 214 814 lbs.
