So my lease burned 2 weeks ago and we lost everything. Lease President calls me Saturday and tells me they are getting ready to clear cut the place. So I go out there Sunday to see if there was anything to retrieve. One of the other lease members was out there gathering his stuff as well. Ran into him and he seemed to be acting weird. Spoke for about 2 minutes then headed to my stand only to find fresh 4 wheeler tracks and no stand. Got back to the road and the other guy was gone already. He was 1 of only 4 guys that knew where the stand was. He denies anything but, just happens to be getting onto a different lease. I can't stand a thief. His time is coming!

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

With organisms like this, I prefer the vulture saying, "Patience my a$$, I'm gonna kill somethin'".

You don't know if this guy was involved or not. Call the DA's office where he lives and see if they are willing to pay him a visit. They probably won't but if he's a bad actor and they know it they just might. It might surprise you to know who really took it.

Sorry to hear that, I've got a thief on my lease too. He keeps stealing my dang cameras. He has already stole 2 of them. One was $250 not including the 4 gig memory card inside. The other was a $100 not including the 4 gig memory card. Every time I go out there I just expect something else to be gone and I'm sick of it. I want to catch the SOB so bad.

Set up a cheapy...(no mem card) in an obvious spot and another hidden game cam pointed in its direction. Punks like that need teaching!

I was not there and don't know your situation but be careful of accusing somebody for acting weird without any proof. Maybe his old lady and him just had a falling out. You never know.
Thiefs are bad but accusing somebody of being one when they are not is very unfair.
Again I don't know your situation and was not there.
To be determined

Sorry to hear that. Bad enough to lose the lease due to fire, but to have someone steal your stuff makes it even worse. I am not a fighting man anymore, but a thief can recall old feelings quickly.

I am not sure where his new lease is. In response to being surprised about who took it and not accusing people, here are some other facts. Only 4 people knew where the stand was. Myself, the guy that I let hunt the stand and also informed me of the clear cutting, the guy that was out there on a 4 wheeler, and a DPS officer that doesn't even own a 4 wheeler. Ive called the guy that was out there yesterday 3 times and sent him 3 texts. No response! I'm not accusing but, sure would like to talk to the guy and see what his story is.

If you can talk to him and he denys taking it then change the subject on him and ask if he has any children?
If he replies and asked why? Just tell him you are curious and then tell him to "just remember this day" and leave it at that.

Hate thieves. I have had friends of the past do me wrong, friends no longer. Your situation is a little touchy, hope things turn out well.

Jimbo if some called to ask if I wronged them and I said no and they gave me that come back my next call would be to the local sheriff, DA, and police department. Restraining orders would follow shortly. Unless I am completely missing what you posted you just advised him to basically threaten a childs life or safty.

A father and son on our lease pulled out this year because they were asked to obey the lease rules. When they left, they stole a high dollar feeder and smashed the walls and windows out of one of the tower blinds. A report was made to the local game warden. What a pair of losers!

Maybe I read wrong, but I think Jimbo was telling him that he would know how it felt when his kids started lying to him because of the example he set for them.

I bet when they lose at sports they call the other team names because they beat them. You should never destroy another persons property no matter the circumstances.

Was it one of the Extreme Brothers?
On a serious note leave him a text and give him the chance to take the stand back to your spot, or you will prosecute. Then maybe you can get your property back. Record and save any conversations you have with him. Then prosecute anyway.

Maybe I read wrong, but I think Jimbo was telling him that he would know how it felt when his kids started lying to him because of the example he set for them. No, you are right! That would never ever cross my mind to threaten someone or their child. I mentioned that in order to maybe open his eyes that if he has children, then maybe he will think about the example he is giving might possibly lead to the same path as the father, and I'm hoping he wouldn't be proud of the example being set, and not to be shocked should his kids follow in his footsteps. After reading my comment I can see why it could be missinterpreted and I apologize for that and did not mean for it to come across that way. Not thinking and proof reading what I wrote.
