Looking at getting a pair of Conquest 10x30s, but not sure how they compare to other brands within the same price range? Been using a pair of Nikon's for about 10 years now and ready for an upgrade.

If I were going to upgrade I would look at 10x42s as they will gather more light. Zeiss has very good glass and lightweight. Conquest should be no different. Best suggesttion I could give you is to go into BPS or Cabelas or Academy and pic up a pair of as many as they will let you look thru and compare them side by side. That will help you on your decision making much better than anything else you could do.

You cannot go wrong with German optics (Leica, Zeiss, Swarovskis). I too would recommend the 10x42 setup.

The Conquest are actually assembled in the US. Everything is from Zeiss in Germany. Not bad optics at all though.

I would run them side by side withe meopta, and new vortex HD and then make a choice.

I know when I went to replace my conquests that got stolen, I ended up with the vortex razors

I have had a pair of Conquest 12x45 binos for about 8 or 10 years and love them. I have never really compared them to any of similar quality/price range, but compared to the Leupolds I had been using, they are in a league of their own.

I love the Razor's, Especially out west on the Rockies, stand alone the best bino's I have used.

I have a pair of the 10 X 30 zeiss and they are great I am sure the 10 X 42 would be better. I am still amazed how much clearer these are than the previous glass I was using 10 X 50 Bushnell no comparison just for what its worth
