1600 acres just west of Eldorado and just north of Ozona. The deer are in great shape fed year round and have plenty of water on ranch.

Opening weekend is going to be really good. We are seeing some nice bucks all around the ranch. They are not as fat as I would like but some fine trophy's are there for the taking.

Mike: Is this a HF or LF property? Any guesses on a reasonable expectation of scores for the bucks on this property?

This is a low fence/free range property.

Average buck 130" to 140" but good chance at a 150" during the rut if we hunt hard and we do have some beautiful 160" plus deer on game cam.

When is the rut in Texas, by the way? (sorry, not from here originally)

Thanks giving thru Christmas give or take. The bucks were coming to rattles the week before Thanksgiving last year. Early November still have bachelor groups that we can pattern. The ranch just had a survey that cut senderos through both pastures. This will make for some fun hunting.

I would highly recommend the dates of December 16th through 18th. It will be either the rut or tail end of it and action should be good.

16th through the 19th may actually be doable. It's a four day hunt, right?
