Great looking gun and a great shot. What is the caliber?

.308 I was shooting 175 SMKs in Lapua Brass w/ 43g of RL15.

Elevation was 34.75 MOA and I held 1 MOA right.

Nice work. That's a hard shot dealing with the mirage. Again good job!

Look at the Mirage, are you seeing R->Left? That's what I saw, then figured in 1 MOA spin drift right. So I figured 2 MOA left correct? Well that put me almost 2 MOA off my mark. Then I saw a slight wind change and said, hell I'm going to hold dead on. Then I impacted 1 MOA right.... So I held 1 MOA right and zinged it. That wind is a crazy creature.

Sounds good man, you can shoot it all you want. I wanna shoot yours too. I am heading my land to shoot today, I think I have a spot to make a 1k yard range there. Diesel, you are always impressing me with your rifles and long range shooting skills

If you saw R to L wind and you held 2 MOA left for wind and spin drift that's why you were 2 MOA left. You did the oposite of what you should have with your wind. You held for a L to R wind. Looks like spin drift canceled the wind. My spin drift is .3-.4 MIL right @ 1000. And I havn't converted that to MOA, so I don't know how that compares to yours.

Still a darn good shot even if it did take 3 rounds. There's lots of good riflemen that couldn't have hit even on the third round.

What optic are you using?

Maybe I Mis spoke. I started holding right of the target, so my POA was in the left hand side of my cross hairs. I hit the shot with the target in the right hand side. Glass was a nightforce nxs 5.5-22x56

JG this is the best way to put it. This is how it looked when I made the shot.

Shooting paint cans at the range. And people wonder why there is no shooting ranges left. Keep it up and we will have one less range to shoot at. Shooting paint cans or bottles or other trash is why ranges keep shutting down. Thanks for the help

Care to explain ? As you can see by the pics I drove down and picked it up. It had ONE hole in it. If you watched the video it was not trash. It had paint in it. Now it sets in the trash can. only threw 6 rounds at that one... at 400+yards on the run shooting from standing position isn't too bad with a 36in or more drop at that range... i'd rather be in the woods chasing critters than shooting paper and steel all day!
