Looking for opinions or advise on what kind gun to go with Im currently looking at Remengton 700 .30-06 or the Savage 700 .30-06. Ive always used families but now that Im on the lease I need to buy my own. I will be hunting out of a 10ft tower blind my feeder is about 60 yards away but Im on the edge of the right away with an unlimited view to my left and right.

I know I am going to get hammered on this. I own Remmingtons, Savages and Stevens. "Personally" I like the Stevens the best. I like the 7mm08, .270 and 30.06. I like the flexibility of being able to do barrel swaps and change callibers that can be done easily with the Stevens/Savages. You can pick up used guns for $275 and up without scopes.

If you're talking lower end of price range, about $400, then I would go with the Savage 110 over the 700 ADL.
If your price range is closer to the $600 range, then a 700BDL over a nicer Savage 110.

I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I own several Remington 700's and they have never let me down. Either way you should be set!
