Has anyone purchased your oats, for planting come next month and if so what did they cost this year? I was in Tractor Supply today and they have 50 lbs for $21.95. Just wondering how that compares with other prices.

When we have had rain, we have just planted whole oats and they have worked great. Just broadcast a little heavier. Save yourself some money.

Check one of the feed stores in your area. x2 as they will the best suited variety for your area. You can also planted feed oats but they can freeze out if it gets cold enough.

I found BOB oats at CPS today for $14 per 50 lbs. I know they are cold hardy and will grow well in my area.

TS is a little higher than a feed store. Feed store is about 15 dollars a bag. Its the fertilizer that costs money. Figure about 50 dollars of fertilizer for every bag of oats.
