I just got a lease right on the county line on grape river road. Are there any turkeys, javalina, or axis in this area? How is the hunting? Thanks

No javi's but yes lots of deer,if you have any water in the creek you should have turkey, there are a lot of free range axis in Kendall around Twin sisters all the way into Boerne, not sure about grape creek area but I would suspect there are.

Tons of free ranging axis along the road at night from 87 to FBG unless cut off by the HF. Have seen less from the old SA road to Alamo Springs. Deer are a dime a dozen but trophy stuff is another big question.

There are nice Axis in the area. Lots of turkey. No Javi, but pigs go through the area. Nice area.

Good to hear! I am on the south side of grape creek rd. just about 3 miles east of 87. Anyone else in the area? I bowhunt only. Our creek and tanks are dry right now but it looks like we have plenty of deer activity. I would love to get a shot at an axis!

I was on a ranch inbetween Kerrville F'burg and one between Comfort and F'burg also. There will be no javelinas in that area but lots of wild hogs. I did see a few turkeys but not many numbers with the drought this year. Deer look fair to good in those areas and did see some bucks and one was decent. This will not be the year for good deer in that area unless you or your neighbor was feeding heavy this year. What I did see for exotics on both places was Sika in large numbers on one ranch and a couple on the other. Also saw a couple of blackbucks. You should see axis in the area and could have aoudads if it is rough and thick enough country. All of this depends on ranch size and hunting pressure. Water situation is getting critical in that area now.

I get to hunt that area at least once every Oct and we see tons of deer and several Sika every year. No javi's, hogs or turkeys that I have seen. I know there are turkeys in the area though.
