Yes, except varmits. I eat every game animal I kill. If I don't like it, I don't hunt for it. I don't care fore the taste of some ducks, therefore I don't hut ducks!

Pretty much eat everything we shoot. When freezer full donate to Hunters for Hungry. Also have some good friends who are unable to hunt, but love wild game meats so we share the bounty.

I have never varmit hunted, so yes, I eat what I shoot. And the only snake I shoot is a cottonmouth. All other snakes I let go. Expecially copperheads. They are so beautiful that I just cant bring myself to shoot them. Yotes and cats...I only watch them. Sometimes shoot them with the camera.

Having said that, I should state that I have hunters sympathy. Shooting most game usually bothers me for 3/4 days. But it doesnt stop me from hunting. My freezers stay full. Fact is, the only meat we buy from the store is chicken. Everything else comes from the field.

Eat very little of what I shoot or catch. Most is given to somebody who wants it.

Axis and Blackbuck are my favorite without a doubt!!!

I will eat pigs that are less than 150 lbs if they don't look or smell too bad.

Whitetail can be a little gamey so I like it as jerky and ground up in taco meat and chili.

I grew up eating fried alligator tails and frog legs and boiled crawfish we caught ourselves. Those are tasty!!!

My favorite fish would be Crappie and Speckled Trout(salt water).

Yep, us Cajuns will eat just about anything because we can cook really good!!! grill

All deer get turned into ground meat other than the backstrap. Sows get eaten. Large boars lie where they fall along with skunks and other varmints. Loved duck hunting and I learned which ones not to shoot after eating some really bad tasting ones.

We always have fun killing boars on opening day of bow season.

Every year there are 2 or 3 feeders where a boar has taken up residence and needs to be evicted... elmer

Handsdown Axis is the best deer type of meat I've had. Elk is pretty good, but the one backstrap of elk I've had was tough, might not have been prepared properly.

All deer and migratory birds I shoot are eaten. Hogs, it depends on how I'm feeling, and if it's 100 degrees, no thanks. Raccoons, porcupines, and other varmints no thanks.

Also people who think it's unethical to not eat the porcupine or other varmints tearing up stuff need to get off their high horse.

Crow is off limits too.

All deer, hogs, and exotics that are shot are are eaten, no exceptions. Same for birds, squirrel, and rabbit. I'd eat the raccoon and opossum we shoot in the chicken house, but the wife won't let me bring them in the house, so they become vulture food. Any we see at the hog trap or in the field are left alone. Bobcat and coyote get a free pass on our place, so it's not an issue with them.

I have been guilty of letting some deer meat go bad in the freezer, but most of the time I do... except hogs, just never feel like messing with em.

Do you eat the minnows or bait shrimp you use for catching other fish?

I leave some hogs where they drop to shoot coyotes. I do take the straps.

I don't mess with whitetails too much anymore either, with the conditions and their diet they taste more and more like goat.
I don't bother having any of it processed especially into ground meat. by the time they add enough beef or pork to make it taste good, it ain't no better for you than HEB lean.

I do eat tit fed axis fawns though. I strap em, quarter them, do the caveman rub, and I get several Sunday dinners out of them.

If we don't eat it you can bet it will go to someone who will!
