Have a big fire on 148 north of town. If anyone has more info. it would be helpful. Heard 2 fire fighters got hurt.

Hey Jim.. It was North on 148 about 10 miles or so.. Last I heard from my land owner and another friend it was on the east side of 148 moving east.. No written update onm it at the Texas forestry website but it doe show up on the Google Earth map tracking fires.. It looks to have stayed east of 148 and it way away from 148 now..

SSJR hope it didn't effect you. I'm up 281 north of town now. It has heavy woods and lots of deer and pigs. I hope this season is better than last year. Also if you hear of any park and rec. jobs I'm looking, got laid off.

Rancher sent me pictures from a distance of the fire, he is about 8 north of Jacksboro off Post Oak rd, which is about a 3/4 mile east of 148. The fire was about a mile north of him.
