I started experiencing the same thing. I thought it may have been the Anthrax anti virus we had added to the protein.

We had about 300lb of feed on the ground at this one. Found out the lid was being lifted by a raccoon and a Turkey scattering it by getting inside.

Look close at the top.

We added the 330gal. water station at the protein feeder this weekend and it didn't seem like the deer had been at the feeder often, as the feeder is still 3/4 full. I guess they're still on the mesquite beans !/?
The photo camera didn't operate but, the video cam did get 1 vid/pic of a healthy mature doe in very good condition....and still too many D*** Coons.

It now has a 15 lb rock to hold the lid down. So far so good!

adding the water will help

we have water next to our feeders and they are hammering both the feeders and the water. Between the deer and evaporation, we are going through 330 gallons of water every 4 weeks!!! It is crazy

as far as protein is concerned, they are going through about 800lbs per month per feeder
