Just wondering if there is a prefferred type of seat most guys like best when in the field or at the tank? I like the Bird&Buck Seat from Cabelas or Academy. It can get heavy at times if you have to carry it very far but it has a strap and swivels 360, plus has a styrofoam cooler built in so thats always nice.

I traded my bucket in and bought this thing about 5 years ago and it is one of THE BEST purchases I have ever made. I have a garage full of hunting and camo crap, but this thing is AWESOME cheerleader
I little pricey but worth every penny. much easier to cary than a bucket. Caries like a backpack and storage fore everything you could need...then folds out into a stool

This is what swivel I use. Heavy duty. Good for turkey too.

Bull Stool

I used the cheaper $29 swivel stool from BP and it seriosly broke while hunting after a couple seasons. Not a safe thing to happen with a loaded gun in hand.

That looks nice. Wished I had one years ago.

My little folding stool usually gets the go during dove season. As does the lid of my cooler haha.

Dove bucket for me. I can't hit doves unless I'm sitting on my trusty bucket!

Me too. I've got one with an aluminum frame and a strap. I throw it over my shoulder and take off. Don't know how many years I've had it, don't know how many hours I've logged sitting on it. Many.

For several years I've had a "directors" folding chair with canvas bottom and back and I cammoed it. This year I have a new canvas chair with a flip-out shelf and cup holder.

five gallon bucket with a swivel seat. Works great.

Just because you haven't been huntin' your whole life doesn't mean you don't want to spend the rest of your life huntin'.

I like this one best. I can carry a couple boxes of shells in it, it doesn't sink in the mud like the tripod ones and it has more cushion (good for logging those long hours) than the bucket ones, and has good swivel.

I picked mine up at Gander mountain, but can't find it on their website.

I have used buckets, x-leg stools for years but last year I got an x-leg stool like the one reeltexan has on his tailgate but with a back rest and man was my old back was thankful for that little bit of support on the lower back.
It's tough getting old. eeks333

Since we use stools for duck hunting, I'm a big fan of the $10 dove stool. Plan to upgrade to one with a back this year. Still using one we found against a tree in about 12" of water 3-4 years ago.
