how much feed do you put out?
I know you should based on the deer you see at the stand.
But i finished school, and have my first real job and wont be able to get out for four weeks after this weekend. its my dad's place ( outside of Bandera ) and he has not hunted it in over 5 years due to his old age. I went up last weekend to check on the blinds and saw a good number of deer. This will be my first year at having a ranch all to my self. thanks for the help

You putting up a feeder? If so I run mine about 10secs per setting, this is going to depend on you deer population.

If NO feeder it doesn't matter how much you pour out, in four weeks it will all be gone(hogs, deer, coons, etc.)

Running 1 sec in a.m. and p.m. just to keep them coming and boy are they. Closer to season I'll pump it out more. Of course I have 6 feeders to fill so its also to keep cost down right now.

I run mine for 4 seconds at 7:30am and for 3 seconds at 4:pm. It all gets eaten up, and I have seen nothing but deer at my feeder all year. No hogs or even raccoons to speak of.

I'm trying to keep them coming at the same time of day instead of them being used to coming after dark once the time change falls back.

On my sets with hanging feeders I'm throwing twice a day for 8 seconds. On my "main" feeder I'm only throwing for 3 seconds twice a day simply because I can't keep the coons from getting on it and maually turning the spinner plate. mad I am getting a ton of deer hitting it but the corn thieves are completely emptying the barrell in about 2 weeks. I've tried about everything to keep them off there but to no avail. Gonna have to rig up a larger varmit cage or do some spot lighting. rifle

running 5 of my feeders twice a day 7am and 5 pm for 4 secs.
I got good activity going but will increase as the season approaches.

I run mine for 4 sec, once just before daylight and the second time 30 min before dark. I have found this gets more corn to the deer for me. If I set it during to much daylight hours the crows wear me out, to late and the coons show up. Since I live here I can set traps for coons, but you never get them all since they travel so much.

I change my timer almost weekly, usually by about 10 minutes, so buy hunting time I have no real adjustment for the deer to make.

I likely will go ahead and double the amount I'm throwing since the deer numbers are growing from adjoining property's. Whether I harvest one or not, doesn't matter to me, keeping them "close" and some what healthy right now is my concern.

I run mine 4 seconds at 6am, noon, and 7pm. I'll have to adjust times as the days get shorter, but that's my summer schedule. I try to keep it just before daylight and just before dark.

Good luck!
