How many people use gloves while cleaning a deer? My Step Son started cleaning deer while wearing latex gloves. I called him a "big old sissy" the first time I saw him do it. The next time I cleaned a deer and "he wasn't around", I tried them. I was really suprised on how much better you can get a grip on things.

I do, and use the blue ones. Lot tougher then the white latex

I wear them as well. I first did so out of necessity because I had an open cut on my palm, and have continued to do so for the reasons mentioned by everyone else.

Not only are they good when cleaning game but working on your vehicle or changing oil, they're great.

They also will help keep you from getting Brucelosis <sp> or other blood transmitted diseases when cleaning pigs. I always use surgical gloves when cleaning deer or hogs.

the old style kitchen gloves work great also they are knurled on the finger tips and are harder to cut thru and are reusable

I must because I no longer have an immune system due to my transplanted kidney/pancreas, and any infection, especially a zoonotic disease could kill me regardless of antibiotics. I would highly recommend everyone using them to avoid any zoonotic diseases. I've had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever way before I was transplanted and it's no fun!

Definitely gives a better grip and keeps the smell off of your hands. Works well to grip feathers when cleaning ducks and geese as well.

I always use gloves now. Didn't use to then I found these purple gloves in the pharmacy section at Walmart. They are one size fits all and are thicker than the white gloves. I imagine they may be around the band aid section or something but make no doubt they are purple, purple, purple. Keeps the from getting under your fingernails as well. I always use them.

Be kind with your words, thankful to your Creator and generous with the meat from your hunt.

Nytrile blue gloves. It's a safety thing just in case of disease. Even more so if you trap or hunt fur-bearers, fox, bobcat, coyote. But it makes it easier to stay clean.

We also put on rubber boots to keep our feet dry (we have running water) and keep the blood off our hunting boots. Hell, Dad even whipped out some plastic aprons last week.

Shoot straight and always carry a 7mm Remington Magnum.

I use them too. I buy them in the paint section at the local hardware store. They are gren in color and cost like 25 cents a pair and they don't tear as easy as the others do.
