Thanks guys. Have a Rem 700 action and 308 Douglas#7 target barrel that I got a great deal on. I went to Vandenberg but he said he could have it ready by Dec. Had an other forum reply about Ray Perry in Bridge City and called him and was quite impressed so I took the barrel/action and the stock I got from Stocky's. Well, after talking to Ray, seeing his game room, machine shop, and the benchrest guns that he builds I was sold. This guy knows what he's doing and competes in bench all over the U.S. And turn around will probley be 3-4 weeks. Will post a pic of it when I get it back.

I'm not having him blueprint the action yet because it's just a Douglas barrel. But will have him do it when I get a better barrel for it.

Got my gun back from Ray and took it out to sight-in the scope and start the breakin. Had some cheap UMC rounds to start and 12rds of 178 AMAX with 44grs of varget set .010 off the lands. Couldn't believe the 1-12 twist shoot the 178's this good. These two are .25moa and I shot .3's with the other two 3 shot rounds. Can't wait to work up 155gr and 168gr rounds for it.
Ray did a fantastic job.
