Eat him? Obviously you aren't getting the trophy mount from him....
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it illegal for sober people to own cars.

Does he have at least a nub on the right side? If he has some sort of growth on the right side you could harvest him as a spike. I would get him out of your heard this year.

Looks like there is a stub or something on his other side. He may have broken the entire antler off early on. Drought can cause deer to have brittle antler and we have seen it a lot during harsh drought years before. I guess it is your call. I think I'd let him walk if it were me. Don't looks genetic to me and with the other side it would be a nice buck.

Hard to tell but looks like an injury to the right pedicle. Could have happened last year during the rut when fighting and broke the entire antler out including the pedicle. If you wait on him till next year and he looks the same then you can make the decision then. It is not genetic but and injury of some sort. He might be normal next year if it happened early this spring.

Unicorn with bad genetics! Bad luck to shoot mythical creatures. Let him walk...or else.

he's got 4 mediocre on one side & 0 on the other.....bust him
If he had 6 on one side, you may want to give him a chance.

Looks like a old buck to me at least 5.5. If it wasn't for the drought I think his body would be bigger.

Judging from vegetation this is in the Edwards plateau. No need to harvest him as a spike,no 13" regs there. He does look like an older deer to me.I think I would just watch him this year.Next year
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.
